Abstract

A computerised shopping list provides a reminder of what the shopper needs to buy on any given day. The list can be uploaded onto a supermarket/trader's server.

Description

SHOPPING LIST FORECASTER
This invention relates to a software program which acts as an aide memoir to shoppers.
The application can be written in any programming language which supports a Graphical User Interface or GUI. Software programs already exist which act as reminders to the users or which list the items in a shopper's list.
What this invention does is it remembers what the shopper needs to buy on any given day thereby precluding the act of having to remember and then write down one's shopping list. The application once installed on the users' computer allows the user to view the shopping list either in print or on the screen.
The application also allows the user to browse the entire content of their stored list of items. The user is able to edit the list.
The user has to load all the information into the application's memory once and once only. The user can add to or delete items from the application's memory. The user can also add a one-off item,o their list and this will not be stored, in memory.
The application also has a facility which enables those who shop on-line, that is over the internet, to automatically upload their shopping list onto the supermarket/trader's server without having to manually enter their shopping list, if they so wish.
The user interacts with the application by pressing the buttons, clicking on the checkboxes and radio buttons on the GUI.
The same application can also be placed in mobile phones or palmtops or any other such electronic.device.
The application can also be implemented as a COM object which can either sit on the users' laptop or the trader's remote server or even Web site.
This application can be used in any endeavour which requires a periodical action to be taken.

Claims (2)

1. A shopping list forecaster in which the user interacts via a GUI and not having to remember their list.
2. A shopping list forecaster which can upload the data in it's memory by any feasible protocol over the electronic medium or/and wireless application protocol.
