Abstract
A weighing suitcase includes the bottom half of a suitcase 1 fitted with eight springs/pockets 12 in the eight places of the bottom half of the suitcase and which are connected to eight aluminium strips 4 that stem from all around the edges and corners of the lower part of the suitcase and meet at the centre and are attached to the tension sensor 5 in the middle of the bottom half of the suitcase. The tension sensor 5 is also connected to an aluminium strip 8 which connects it to the weighing mechanism 6. The weighing mechanism has a manual display unit 9 which shows the weight using a needle. The suitcase will also have other features common to a suitcase such as locks 10, a handle 2 and lined pockets 11 in the upper part of the suitcase to retain small items.

WEIGHING SUITCASE
This invention relates to a suitcase of a type which is used for travelling especially used for going abroad where the weight of the suitcase is an important factor.
Such suitcases are widely available but suffer from the disadvantage that it is never possible to find out the exact weight of the items within the suitcase. So if the suitcase is overweight or even underweight, one will not find out until it is weighed at the airport and hence this can be problematic as well embarrassing so it is best to avoid such situations.
An object of this invention is to provide a suitcase which will display the weight of the items within the suitcase.
Accordingly the invention provides a suitcase equipped with mechanical sensors that can display the weight through a digital display unit on the outside of the suitcase next to the handle so that people will no longer need to worry about their suitcase being overweight.
Preferably the suitcase will be made of plastic, metal and cloth and the material needed to identify and display the weight will be made from electronic mechanism.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: FIGURE 1 shows you the whole of the suitcase; FIGURE 2 shows the bottom part of the suitcase.
As shown in figure 1, whole suitcase 1 with handle 2. The plastic or aluminium sheet $ lines the bottom half of the suitcase. When weight depresses the aluminium sheet 5 it will press against the sensors 4 and send the information about the weight resting on the aluminium street E;through the wire strips to the circuit board which is connected to the digital display 9 which will display the exact weight.
The wire or wire strips 6 are attached to the four sensors. When weight is pressed upon the sensors 4, the weight information is transferred from the sensors 4 through the wires or wire strips 6 to the circuit board which displays the information on to the digital display unit 9 located on the outside of the suitcase, next to the handle 2.

The digital display is powered by batteries which are placed in the battery compartment at back of the digital display unit 1 1 also equipped with an on and off switch.
The pockets 1 fare within the top half of the suitcase and the locks' are outside the suitcase and will secure it shut.
Figure 2, shows the bottom half of the suitcase. The digital display 9 will reveal the weight of the goods within the suitcase.. The circuit board 10 connects to the wires 6 and the sensors 4 are attached to the back of the digital display 9 which can be seen outside the suitcase, next to the handle 2. *
Claims (8)
1. A weighing suitcase which is fitted with a weighing mechanism and a plastic or aluminium sheet which when depressed by weight will press down upon the connection which will use pulling forces to pull the tension sensor and this will result in pressure on the mechanism which will pull the needle and show the weight within the suitcase.
2. The connections as claimed in Claim 1 are eight springs which are connected to eight aluminium strips.
3. The springs as claimed in Claim 2 when triggered by weight will as a result pull the eight aluminium strips mentioned in Claim 2 which are connected to the tension sensor.
4. The pulling action of the aluminium strips as mention in Claim 3 will activate the tension sensor as mentioned in any proceeding claim and this will put force on the tension aluminium strip.
5. The force on the aluminium strip as mentioned in Claim 4 will put pressure on the mechanism.
6. The force placed on the mechanism as mentioned in Claim 5 will pull the needle to show the weight on the manual display unit.
7. The weighing suitcase as claimed in any preceding claim is made from plastics, aluminium, cloth, springs, metal and wire, or a combination of these materials.
8. A weighing suitcase substantially as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
