Abstract
240,062. Cattaneo, E. Nov. 19, 1924. [Convention date]. Hooks fixed to flat surfaces.-In a clothes-hook of the type in which an advertisement is displayed or placing a hat, coat, &c., on the hook, an advertising plate 16 is pivotally secured to the arm 3 of the hook and is swung into the vertical position indicated on loading the hook, 12 or 13. The hub 5 of the hook is pivoted at 4, and is provided with a finger 6 which rests against a spring-pressed plunger 9 on the supporting bracket 1. The plunger 4 returns the hook into the position shown on unloading, and the advertising matter on the plate 16 is consequently out of view. A finger 7 on the hub 5 limits the movement of the hook into the unloaded position. The end 16<1> of the advertising plate 16 is lighter than the opposite end. The tension of the spring 8 can be adjusted from either back or front by operating a doubleended screw 11.
