Abstract
239,909. Lester, J., and Greatorex, A. E. June 12, 1924. Wrappers ; securing wrappers, special means for.-A carrier for blouses &c. comprises a base part stiffened by a sheet of cardboard &c. 1, Fig. 1, and provided with flaps 2, 3, 4 adapted to be folded over it in order. After folding, the three flaps are adapted to be again folded along the line 2<c>-3<c> to protect the upper edge of the wrapper. The flap 4 has folding side portions 4a, 4<b> making it of double thickness and an overturned edge 4<c> adapted to lie against the rear of the folded wrapper. When folded the carrier has the appearance shown in Fig. 3, the flaps lying closely against one another and against the base portion. A string carrying-loop 5 is secured to the upper or lower edge of the part 1, and the carrier is kept closed by a cord 6 or by a button fastening. In a modification the base portion and the flaps 2, 3, 4 are all made of stiff material, and a sheet 12, Fig. 4, of paper &c. is secured to the base and extends beyond its edges, the loose portions 12a being turned over the contents before the flaps 2, 3, 4 are folded in.
