AJUSTABLE ROOF LADDER WORKBENCH
This invention relates to an adjustable roof ladder workbench.
This invention Relates to a adjustable roof ladder workbench which hooks onto the rungs of any ladder that is hanging from the top of a sloped roof or such ladder is supported by way of a roof brackets and baton are secured to the bottom of the roof timbers or what ever way the ladder is secured top of roof or eaves of roof or by scaffold.
The object of this invention is to allow a person to be able to work at any pad of the roof or what ever the situation where a ladder is requiered on a sloped part of the roof with out having to erect a scaffold such as roof brackets and baton which can be cumbersome and heavy for one person for some small minor work to be carried out and does not damage any pad of the roof which is not necessary, the invention can be adapted for any pitch of the roof or width of ladder so as not to have to supply specific ladder to carry out work requiered.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which Figure I shows in perspective the adjustable roof ladder workbench as Figure 2 illustrates the apparatus broken down to the essential parts so as to describe its workers.
Referring to the drawing the adjustable roof ladder workbench comprises of a main body of which it is hinged by way of bolts or catch or similar means as shown at 12 three sections by way of bolts part 5 on the drawing is adjustable for the pitch of the roof, part 9 is the base for the wooden metal or plastiuqe tray, the upright part 8 as 9 and 5 are of metal for strength, the sliding roof ladder hooks 2 are also of metal for strength and can go from right to left to fit any width of ladder they are secured by metal returns on to the frame 9.
Part 3 can be wood or plastic or metal, part 6 is a metal sheath and flat top surface to allow 4 to slide into which is a metal steak for cutting slates as this is not a new invention it is made different so as to fit 6 to stop it moving north south east or west, part 7 is a Remountable roof ladder steak for the purpose if 4 is obstructing the use of the flat surface 3, 7 can be secured to 8 by way of hook or detached, part 3 has a precut slot to enable 6 to be mounted for 4 to slide into.part 10 allows certain tools to be secured For saftey, part 1 1 for carrying or when 5 is released from 8 by removing 12 the whole apparatus can fold up flat for convenience and stored away.
Claims (1)
- Claims 1 A Adjustable roof ladder workbench comprises of a metal framejoined together by bolts or similar means to secure three main parts together and form base for a wooden tray to be rayed on one section and sliding hooks part over and under tray to form main body of appliance.2 A adjustable roof ladder workbench as claimed in claim I wherein adjustable means are provided to allow the apparatus to be set to the pitch of the roof and sliding hooks to be secured to most ladders, 3 A adjustable roof ladder workbench as claimed in claim I or claim 2 wherein a precut slot in the wooden tray or similar material for a metal sheath to be inserted into the wooden tray to allow a metal roofing stake to slide into.4 A adjustable roof ladder workbench as claimed in claim 1 a attachment of roof ladder stake to be hooked onto the base ot the main metal frame if necessary A adjustable roof ladder workbench as claimed in claim 1, wherein with the removal of two bolts at certain points the apparatus can fold flat or adjusted as claimed in claim 2.6 A adjustable roof ladder workbench as described herein with reference to figures 1-2 of the drawings.
