Crank chambers.-The crank-case of a Ford motor-car is separated along the line E, F into two portions A, B, in order to render more accessible the change-speed gear, which is contained in the portion A. Flanges N, M, bored to receive bolts which clamp the separated parts together, are riveted and brazed on to both portions.
