Abstract
A bunker rake comprises a handle D with a stand A affixed to it. The stand, which keeps the handle above the ground at all times, allows for the attachment of an advertising hoarding B to the rake. The rake is of a one-piece construction and moulded in plastic. The handle, which has a hand grip C, is semi-circular in shape with ribs underneath along the width and length. These ribs increase the strength of the handle preventing creasing and breakages.
Description
1. 2390286
DESCRIPTION
Bunker Rake The invention relates to the handle of the bunker rake and the all in one construction.
Handles are often no more than a hollow plastic tube or wooden pole. This leads to problems with rotting, damage and generally poor life span, thus leaving the golfers to use damaged rakes or the golf club replacing them wim new rakes.
Objects of this invention are to provide a bunker rake that is I. long lasting (being proof against rot and accidental damage such as buggies driving over it), 2. comfortable to use 3. resistant to vandalism 4. unattractive to steal 5. a source of revenue through advertising 6. already assembled (due to the all in one construction The objectives are achieved by 1. the whole tool being made of a material which will not rot and which will allow a degree of twist and bend without causing long term distortion.
2. incorporating a stand (A) which keeps the handle off the ground, so that it is neither muddy nor sodden. The end of the handle (C) provides grip for the operating hand and the mid section (D) allows the handle to slide easily through the supporting hand. The whole construction is lightweight.
3. the construction as in I above and the permanence of the all in one construction, also rendering unplanned vandalism unproductive.
4. the features of the handle, including the stand (A), advertising boards (B) and the moulded description 'Bunker Rake'
5. the advertising boards (B) which can be rented out 6. there being no requirement for power or manual tools, nails, screws or other fastenings to attach the head to the handle Drawings 1, 2 and 3 accompany this description. I illustrates the rake from top view, 2
illustrates the bottom view and 3 illustrates the side view, showing all details mentioned above.
