Abstract
A trolley for use by a person working beneath a vehicle, possibly in a prone position, is provided comprising a shelf upon which tools may be located in use. The trolley may be provided with two shelves, both of which have spring clips for the location of tools so that the trolley may be loaded with tools before being wheeled beneath the vehicle. The upper of the two shelves may be reversible, the underside being provided with a seat. The trolley may also be provided with a handle and a lamp. An extension unit may also be provided so that the trolley may be used at a more elevated position, for example by a person working in a standing position beneath a vehicle raised up on hydraulic jacks.

- DESCRIPTION OF 'MECHANICS MATE'//. A MOBILE TOOL TROLLEY. FOR
4CCESS/STORAGE OF TOOLS_WHILST WORKING UPON A VEHICLE'
This device serves the purpose of facilitating the ease of access/within easy reach to a range of tools by a mechanic whilst he/she is working under or on a motor vehicle.
The device is a mobile tool trolley which can be pulled under a vehicle, and which can store all tools required by a mechanic.
The main application of this device is for someone working in a prone position lying on their back under a vehicle.
An adaptor is also included which will convert this device into a tool trolley for use when a vehicle is mounted on hydraulic ramps. This would facilitate the easy access to tools by the mechanic whilst standing working under a vehicle.
The adaptor/extension stand effectively increases the height of the tool trolley.
There is also the facility of a lamp included which would be used to illuminate the working area.
There is also the facility for incorporating a 'Seat' on the underside of the top shelf. This would be 'Activated' when the top shelf was reversed.
This patent is to include any such device made of any material where tools are stored in one place for easy access whilst working on or under any vehicle or any type of machinery.
The design of the device can be such as to incorporate a facility to remove shelves. This would mean that shelves can be stored with specific tools already 'clipped' in place for specific jobs. The appropriate shelf could then he slotted into place as per the specific job. eg: Changing brakes; Changing Oil; Changing Exhaust System; Changing Clutch; Changing C.V Joints; Repairing/Replacing Wheel Bearings; etc etc. s' Lair A a, 20 '266,s.-c Pus.

Claims (1)
- MM.1 -- CLAIMS.An Under Vehicle Mechanics Tool Trolley. The device is restricted in height to facilitate access to underneath of a raised or jacked-up vehicle.Central & specific location/place for all required mechanics tools. Two shelves with spring clips fixed to topside of shelves. These spring clips allow the temporary location of a varied range of mechanics tools. The two shelves are mounted onto a side frame.Swivelling top shelf to reverse into a seat.Retaining clips to secure the top shelf/seat in place. The tool trolley is mounted on castors to facilitate ease of access.A 'bungee rope' is attached to the trolley to enable pulling towards the user. There is a clip attached to side of trolley to enable mounting of an inspection lamp. There are attachments to side of the trolley to allow location of other items such as oil etc. Incorporates an adaptor/extension to enable increase of height of the trolley.Adaptor/extension is a tubular (or other construction) frame. The trolley castors can be removed and the trolley slotted into the extension frame. This then will increase the height of the trolley to enable working at a different height. The trolley castors can be relocated into the base of the legs of the extension to give mobility to the extension trolley. n.b. Please refer to drawings submitted/attached.
