Abstract

A hair straightener or straightening device is provided that includes a handle adapted to be attached to a housing. The housing has a heat transmissive plate surrounded by a cover formed by curved rings and teeth, which serve to guide and tension the hair along the heat transmissive plate. The transmissive plate is heated by hot air. The air is directed and diverted to heat the transmissive plate to a temperature hot enough to straighten hair.
