Abstract

A protector is detachably mounted, using magnets, on a stationary vehicle and comprises a strip of resilient material with flat edges and a curved protrusion. Slots are cut into the strip to improve flexibility.

<Desc/Clms Page number 1> vehicle protector This invention solves the damage to the sides of vehicles when parked, usually a number of dents along the sides of the vehicle.
It prevents doors from other vehicles and shopping trolleys from damaging the sides of the vehicle by protruding out from the bodywork and taking the knocks.
It can easily be attached and removed when parking.
One or more might be needed for each application.
They are stackable for space saving.
It would be made of tough plastic or a similar material.
It has slots to allow it to bend to follow the contour of the vehicle, REF 3 FIG 1 shows the protector.
FIG 2 shows the end view.
It 18 put in use by attaching one or more along the side of the vehicle that you want to protect when the vehicle is parked It is held in place by a cushioned magnetic strip REF4.

Claims (6)

  1. CLAIMS 1. A vehicle protector that has flat edges and a curved protrusion that when in place protrudes out from the vehicle bodywork.
  2. 2 A protector as claimed in claim 1 that has slots cut from it to allow it to bend slightly.
  3. 3 A protector as claimed in claim 1 and claim 2 that has cushioned edges
  4. 4. A protector as claimed in claim 1 that when in use it is not a permanent fixture.
  5. 5 A protector as claimed in any proceeding claim which is made from tough plastic or a similar material.
  6. 6. A protector substantially as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
