Abstract

237,438. Stokes, G. W. Aug. 15, 1924. Centering for floors. - Concrete floors are moulded over removable metal or like trough-shaped units a, supported in lines by stiffeners c to which their longitudinal depending edges are clamped by detachable clips or clamps d. The depending edge of the trough may be clamped against a stiffener as in Fig. 1, or between a pair of stiffeners b, c, as in Fig. 3. Separate spaces may be used for the stiffeners or a pair of clamps d may be connected by a spacer l, Fig. 3. The clamps may be tightened by bolts or wedges. The trough units are built up with their stiffeners and are supported in lines on temporary framework m. Boards t are used to mould the beam bottoms which may have wood strips q, Fig. 3, moulded therein to facilitate attachment of the ceiling.
