Abstract
237,189. Stahlwerk, Werner Akt.- Ges. Aug. 20, 1924, [Convention date]. Detachable-rim attachments to wheels. - The tyre-carrying rim is secured to the wheel by three or more retaining members, one or two of which are detachable. In the form shown, a wheel disc 1 is fitted with spaced rim-holding members 2, 3, 4, having coned flanges to engage similar coned surfaces on the rim, the members 2, 3 being integral with, or permanently secured to, the disc. The detachable member 4 comprises two flange segments, each coned to engage a similar surface on the wheel disc, and adjusted into clamping engagement with the tyre-carrying rim by bolts 6.
