Abstract

A drips-free infusing device includes a liquid-permeable bag containing infusible material attached to a lid that is of suitable design to cover an infusion vessel or cup. Preferably the lid is folded in half across its diameter to enclose and protect the bag prior to use. In operation the lid is unfolded and the bag is lowered from the lid, by means of its attaching string, into the infusing liquid from which it is withdrawn when infusion is completed. The lid is then lifted and folded tightly across its diameter to squeeze excess liquid from the bag contained with the two diametrically opposed sides The lid is preferably made from insulating material. In another embodiment, the lid is replaced by a squeezable holder which is closed along its top edge and two side edges but can receive the infuser bag through its open bottom edge.

Description

'SqweezyTeas'Take Away Tea Cup Lid.
Centered around the lid design of a takeaway cup. The tea bag with string and lid comes as one complete item.
The thick semi-transparent plastic lid has been created with the tea bag string (connected to the tea bag) to run freely through a hole in the centre of the lid itself. Once the tea has been brewed within the cup, the tea bag is then pulled directly back up to the lid. This will then allow the user to fold the specially designed lid in half and squeeze the tea bag dry without having to touch the hot tea bag itself. This can all be done with one hand if necessary.
A step by step guide to using the'SqweezyTeas'takeaway lid : 1) Choose your favourite blend of tea from the'SqweezyTeas'take away range.
2) Un-wrap all packerging and pull tea bag down into cup.
3) Fill the cup with hot water.
4) Seal and allow the tea to brew.
S) When brewed, simply release the lid slightly and pull the tea bag string upwards towards the lid of the cup.
6) Then simply fold the specially designed lid in half (along the indent line) and squeeze until the tea bag is dry. CLEAN, DRY WITH NO MESS ! 7) Dispose of the lid and dry tea bag accordingly.
8) Enjoy the tea.
This product can be used for the take-away and catering trade. In fact anywhere that a hot cup of individual freshly brewed tea is required.
'SqweezvTeas'Individual Tea Bag.
Once again this design is centered around the tea bag which also has a string. There is also a unique'tea bag'housing that will allow the user to squeeze the tea bag dry without having to touch the bag at any stage.
A thick semi-transparent plastic cool walled jacket' (only slightly larger than the tea bag
itself) houses the string and tea bag itself. This unique jacket'has been designed so that 0 once the user has brewed the tea in any type of cup or mug, it can be pulled back up via the string into the cool walled'jacket'itself and squeezed until dry between finger and thumb.
The string will run smoothly through the center of the top fold allowing the tea bag to squeezed dry. CLEAN, DRY AND NO MESS.
Key to Drawing: (1) Tea bag in thickish paper jacket (2) Pull down tea bag into boiling water in cup (3) When brewed pull up tea bag into jacket and squeeze with fingers leaving Dry tea bag with no mess (1) Tea bag on string through hole in lid (2) Pull down bag into boiling water close lid (3) Pull up tea bag squeeze lid together with tea bag, inside lid has scored line across the top. Leaving a dry tea bag in lid no wet mess easy to dispose of

Claims (8)

  1. CLAIMS 1. An infusing device holding a bag containing dry beverage ingredients that can be lowered to make a solution in liquid in a vessel placed below it, and the bag of which can be raised within the device to be squeezed to ensure that no drips of liquid are deposited on removal of bag from the liquid.
  2. 2. An infusing device as claimed in Claim 1 where the bag is attached to the lid or cover of an infusing vessel and which can be withdrawn into the lid.
  3. 3. An infusing device as claimed in Claims 1 or Claim 2 where the lid can be folded around the wet and withdrawn bag to allow it to be squeezed using pressure from user's fingers or fingers and thumb.
  4. 4. An infusing device as claimed in any preceding claim where the sides of the folded lid fit together and lock by means of a clip, or by friction, or by adhesive, to securely enclose the bag.
  5. 5. An infusing device as claimed in any preceding claim where the material of manufacture is heat insulating.
  6. 6. An infusing device as claimed in any preceding claim where manufacture is from plastic, paper, card, or a combination of these materials.
  7. 7. An infusing device as claimed in any preceding claim that is used for the production of a water soluble solution of tea or coffee or other beverage by the infusion in liquid An infusing device as claimed in any preceding claim where of a dry state soluble or semi soluble material held within a permeable bag.
  8. 8. An infusing device substantially as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
