Abstract

The spider catcher uses air to encourage entrapment. In use the device is placed over the spider and the user blows through an air tube with a mouthpiece so that the spider is dislodged or crawls into a pivoting catch tray. The catcher may be made of clear plastic, have an adjustable length air tube and a removable, washable mouthpiece. Once caught the spider can be disposed of unharmed.

This Spider Catcher is unique in as much as it keeps the Spider at a comfortable distance from the user, causes no harm to the Spider, has minimal moving parts and is light and easy to use. The Spider once trapped and covered by the Spider Catcher contraption against all types of surfaces is then encouraged to drop or crawl into the holder by means of a blow of air from the user.

The Spider Catcher will all be made of clear plastic with an adjustable length arm and a removable and washable rubber mouth piece.
