Abstract
A water-borne lamp or light buoy is powered by a battery. The battery is recharged with electricity generated by a pendulum attached to the bottom of the lamp. The pendulum is actuated in response to movement of the water in which the lamp is floating. The light is switched on automatically at dusk and off at dawn. The light buoy may be used as a marker or security light. Several buoys may be linked together to from a ring surrounding a yacht or boat.
Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1> DESCRIPTION AUROA a sea or fresh water-born lamp self generates electricity-wise by subsurface pendular action where the electric current is passed to a potentiometer thence to the battery. The light on top is switched on automatically at dusk and off at dawn. It is by principle maintenance free and several of these lamps could surround the boat or yacht to deter unwelcome visitors when the owner is away.

Claims (1)
- CLAIM 1 A night light for boats and yachts tied up boats in harbour or riverbank or estuary, where any movement in water, tidal or otherwise, actuates a sub surface pendulum sufficiently to generate a trickle charge to "on board" battery. CLAIM 2 A sea or fresh water-born light, as described in Claim 1 where lifebuoys are used as pivot for each lamp, the lifebuoy connected by rope to each other to complete a security ring around the yacht or boat.
