DETAILES DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
Referring to Figs. 1.3.8.13,15,16 and 17, the stroller of the present invention comprises two front support rods 1, two bendable connecting members 2, two rear support rods 3, a U-shaped handlebar 4, an axle 5, a front wheel 11 and two rear wheels 5 1.
The handlebar 4 is connected to upper holding parts 21 of the bendable connecting members 2. The upper end portions of the front support rods 1 are connected to lower holding parts 22 of the bendable connecting members 2. Each of the bendable connecting members 2 further has an elastic member 21 and a top block 24 received in the tipper holding part 2 1. The rear support rods 3 are each pivoted to a respective one of the lower holding parts 22.
The front wheel 11 is fitted to lower end portions of the front support rods 1. The a-.5d-e 5 is connected to the lower ends of the rear support rods 2. The rear wheels 51 are fitted to two ends of the axle 5.
Referrino to Fies. 13 and 14, a brake member 6 is providedcomprising a Ushaped locating member 61, a buttertly- shaped pivotal plate 62, two L-shaped movable pieces 63, two stopping rods (V4, twe locating pieces 65 and two stopping members 66. The U-shaped locating member 61 is fixed to the axle 5. and has two holes 612. The butterflyshaped pivotal plate 62 is pivoted on the locating member 61, and has a depressed portion 621. The L-shaped movable pieces 63 are each pivoted to a respective one of two end portions of the butterfly- shaped pivotal plate 62 from one end, and pivoted to a respective one of the stopping rods 64 from other end. The stopping rods 6,4 are passed through the holes 612, and holes 651 of the locating pieces 65 which are fixed to the axle 5. Thus, the user can pivot the butterfly-shaped pivotal plate 62 by depressing the depressed portion 621 in order to move the stopping rods 64 towards a respective one of the rear wheel 51. The stopping members 66 are each fitted to a respective one of the rear wheels 51. The stopping members 66 each has separating walls 661 radially disposed thereon such that locating compartments 662 are provided thereon. When the suer wants to stop the wheels 51 from moving. he depresses the depressed portion 621 of the butterfly-shaped pivotal plate 62 to move the stopping rods 6.4 to engage the stopping members 66.
The handlebar 4 has two protecting blocks 41 each fitted to a 20 respective side rod portion. The protecting blocks 41 each has a through hole 411. A U-shaped pulling rod 42 is provided.. having an upper pulled portion 422, and two side rod portions (not numbered) each passed through a respective one of the through holes 411 of the protecting blocks 4 1. The pulling rod 42 further has hooked end portions 421 connected to the upper holding parts 21 of the bendable connecting members 2. Thus, 6 the pulling rod 42 can be pulled from the uper pulled portion 422 to lift the tipper holding parts 21 for permitting the bendable connecting members 2 to be bent.
Referring to Fig. 9, the stroller further has an intermediate support member 9, connecting rods 7. locating blocks 8 and connecting blocks 12. The connecting blocks 12 are each fitted to a respective one of the front support rods 1. The connecting rods 7 are each pivoted to a respective connecting blocks 12 from a first end, and pivoted to a respective pivoting end portion 81 of the locating blocks 8 from a second end. The locating blocks 8 each has a receiving gap 82, a connecting room 84 and two securing protrusions 83 on an upper end portion of the receiving gap 82. the distance between two ajacent securing protrusions 83 is at least smaller than the diameter of the connecting rod 7 such that when the connecting rod 7 is received in the receiving gap 82. same can be protected from accidentally falling off the receiving gap 82 b'%,, the securing protrusions 83. The intermediate support member 9 ha outer ends firmly received in the connectine, rooms 84 of the locatinz blocks 8. and is pivoted to the rear support rods 3. Thus., referring to Figs. 11, 12, when the user wants to fold the stroller. he also pivot the connecting rods 7 on the connecting blocks 7, and pivot the connecting rods 7 on the pivoting end portions 81 for same to separate from the receiving Raps And. the intermediate support member 9 is pivoted on the rear support rods 3 for same to move close to the rear support rods 3.
When the stroller is not folded. and the depressed portion 621 of the brake member 6 is not depressed to stop the rear wheels 51 from inoving-1.
is it can be used to hold a bab-,. and moved.
When the user wants to stop 1he Nvileels 51 from moving. tile depressed portion 621 is depressed for the stopping rods 64 to engage the separating walls 661 of the stopping members 66.
In folding the stroller, referring to Figs. 4,5,6,7,11, 12, 18,19 and 20 the pulling rod 42 is lifted and the handlebar 4 is pivoted towards to the front support rods 1. Then, the connecting rods 7 and the intermediate support member 9 are pivoted as above said to fold the stroller to a smaller one.
From the above description, the stroller of the present invention call be seen to have desirable features as follows:
1. The stroller can be assembled easily.
2. The stroller can be folded simply.
3. The brake member can prevent the stroller from accidentally moving.
