Abstract

235,838. Nagot, C. June 23, 1924, [Convention date]. Spring devices.-A spring fork for motor and other cycles comprises a fork proper 5, pivoted to the steering-stem 1 by means of a spindle 4, and acted upon by torsion springs 11, 12 surrounding the spindle 4, and is characterized in that the outer ends 18, 19 of the springs are secured to members 20, 21 fixed by nuts 22 to the fork 5, and the inner ends of the springs are secured to similar members 16 fixed by nuts 17 to two lugs 3 projecting rearwardly from a socket 2 surrounding the stem 1. The fork 5 is pivoted on the spindle 4 by means of ball bearings 8 in recessed members 6 on the fork crown.
