Abstract

A telescopic metal scaffold board comprises two pieces of metal formed so that one fits inside the other with the ability to pull out and lock at different lengths of extension.

Description

2353320 TELESCOPIC SCAFFOLD BOARD (EYFENDABOARD) Sheet 1 1) This invention
relates to a telescopic scaffold board.
2) Scaffold boards are used in many different ways, to walk on, to support objects, to move objects over obstacles or to work from and so on. However scaffold boards are heavy, cumber-some, awkward, not very strong and liable to split if left to weather.
3) The invention comprises of two formed sheets of Galvanised sheet steel folded in such a way that one slides in and out of the other. They are also folded to give strength. When put together they can be pulled apart and locked ti ring bolts in a number of "orent ghtly in position using sp lengths.
4) This invention can be transported very easily due to size and weight. It also can be extended to different sizes to fit different applications and does not warp or split as well as being stronger.
TELES.COPIC SCAFFOLD BOARD (EXTENTIDABOARDE) Sheet 2 Drawing 1 shows a cross section of one of the folded Galvanised sheet steel with rough dimensions.
Drawing 2 shows a cross section of the two folded Galvanised steel sheets fitted together.
Drawing 3 shows a view of the invention sliding in and out and the spring bolt holes.

Claims (1)

  1. CLAIM 1)
A scaffold board formed from two metal sections telescopically received, one inside the other.
CLAIM 2) A scaffold board as claimed in Claim I, with a means for locking the sections relative to one another in an extended position.
CLAIM 3) A scaffold board as claimed in Claim 2 where as each section is formed of a "U' shaped channel with the free ends of the limbs of at least the outer section being turned inwards to hold the inner section captive.
CLAIM 4) A scaffold board as claimed in Claim 3 whereas the boards are provided with reinforcing ribs.
CLAIM 5) A scaffold board substantially as herein with reference to and as illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
