Abstract

A golf ball with a metallic foil layer 20 encapsulating an inner core 10 before the outer casing 30 is fitted. Preferably the metal layer 20 allows the ball to be detected by a metal detector (see fig.2) and the ball may conform to competition specifications.

TECHNICAL FIELD: This invention relates to a crolf ball which can be detected when lost in the 'rough' during play.
BACKGROUND: Many golfers suffer penalties in competition and cost by losing their 11,01f balls during play. They often know the vicinity where their golf ball has landed, but the ground cover precludes them from finding their golf ball. This invention Will allow the lost golf ball to be detected, thereb precluding lost strokes and the y additional expense of using a replacement ball. Time and frustration spent looking fl g or lost golf balls can also be minimized.
ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL FEATURES.
This invention encapsulates the entire core of the golf ball with a metallic foil before the outer skin is applied. The lost golf ball can then be quickly detected by sweeping the suspected area with a metal detector.

  1. CLAIMS:
    A golf ball whose inner core is completely encapsulated in metallic foil before the outer casing is Etted.
    1 A golf ball, according to claim L, enabling the ball to be precisely located with c W the use ofa metal detector.
    A golf ball, according to claim L, whose weight, size, symmetry and intepity confirms to competition specifications.
