Abstract
An article of footwear comprises at least one spherical ground engaging member 1 in a sole (3, Fig 2). Typically, the or each spherical member is contained in a housing 2 such that only one third of the spherical member is exposed. A plurality of smaller balls may be located on the inner side of the housing so as to contact the spherical member. The sole may also be larger than an upper of the footwear.
Description
2351004 Ball Footwear This invention relates to footwear which unable the
wearer to enjoys multiply activities while wearing them. The shoe would consists of the base which could be hard itself with hallow housing each containing a hard ball or could house a hard piece with similar design. (Fig One, Two Three Page one, Fig 4,5 Page two) Alternatively all balls can be housed in one shell.( Page Five FigI 1) The thickness of the sole can be varied according to the size of the balls. The house will contain two thirds of the ball and one third would stay free so it can roll on the surface. ( Page Three Fig Six) As the skating action would be related to the size of the balls the sole might be bigger C C-1) in size from the shoes body which held the feet. Page Five Fig 12) Obviously the bigger the size of the ball, the smoother the activity under-taken. These balls will rotated in their house and will enable person to slide if so wished, walk or run. To slid better we could use metal ball and install smaller metal balls on the wall of the shell in the manner that the surface of smaller balls contact the balls and rotated around itself as the ball rotates. (Fig 13, 13a Page Five) The shoes could be made from any material such as leathers pvc or even metal. For the housing on the base or sole it must be made from harder material such as a strong pvs etc. The balls can be made from any material with ability to slid on hard surface. The number of balls can be varied. The sole with one ball or more balls arranged in one line in the middle will give only the sliding activity a chance. (Fig 8,9, 10, Page Four) But with more balls arranged around the sole the person can enjoy many different activities.
1 - page one shows the trainer made this way with back and forth( 1,2,3 W are showing the balls, the housing and the sole.
2- page two consists of (4) the sole with eight house positions and a hard base with two balls poised on their houses(5) 3- page three is showing the direction a ball could take(6) and a hard base with eight ball houses which could be installed on the shoes sole(7).
4- page four will show the balls housed in one line (8,9,10).
5- Page Five will show a collective house for the balls and bigger sole(l 1, 12) and ball in the special housing surrounded by smaller balls.(13, 13a) 6- in all Figures number one is used for the ball number two for the ball's housing number three for the sole number four for hard piece which would house the balls and would be installed in the shoe's sole 2 CLAIMS 1 - The product consists of a shoe with balls installed within its' sole. (Fig. 1 1,2 / Fig.2 2,3)
2- As in claim one the balls can be housed in shells which are installed in the sole (Fig.4 2,3) Or the balls can be installed m a hard case which then houses the balls see (Fig. 5 1,2,4) 3 -The balls will rotate according to the friction/movement the wearer exerts on the shoes ( Fig.6 1,2,4). This enables the wearer a choice of activities which range from walking, gliding, skating, running, jogging etc... for better sliding the house of the balls can be made as shown in fig 13,13a page five.
4The sole can contain one ball (Fig.8) or two (Fig.9) orthree (Fig.10) For. best overall co-ordination six or more balls are recommended. The sole can also be bigger in size than normal from the upper part of the shoe as shown m fig 12 page five.
