Breech actions, drop-down, barrel.-The barrelbolting mechanism described in the parent Specification is adapted to operate a laterally-sliding bolt engaging the top-rib extension. As shown, a laterally-sliding bolt 30 is engaged and operated by a projection 32 carried by a ring 23 mounted in a slot in the socket head 10 and rotating therewith when the top-lever 9 is operated.
