Abstract
A dry and wet vacuum cleaner that will always purify the air from dust and, because it uses water as the main filter, can also purify it from germs, smoke and odour. It does not need bags or cans and can be emptied at the touch of a button without any risk from dust. Furthermore it will also blow dry ( hot or cold) washed carpets and furniture.
Description
BESVAC
This invention relates to a vacuum cleaner which sucks in air and dirt, traps most dirt and expels air, or sucks in dirt and water, where the dirty water has to be emptied manually.
Such machines are already in existence but even the latest models still use a bag or its replacement which have to be taken out to empty or replace. Their microfilters need changing frequently to maintain their filtration standard which is not only inconvenient but also expensive. They do not produce 100% dirt free air, 100% germ free air and 1000/o smoke/odour free air. They cannot be emptied at the touch of a button Further none of them can blow dry (hot or cold) washed carpets/furniture.
The object ofthis invention is to provide a multi-purpose vacuum cleaner which will solve all the above problems yet does not require bags, disposable or otherwise, sealed or otherwise, does not require bag replacement (cans) and does not require micro-filters. Accordingly this invention provides a vacuum cleaner with water being the main filter which will trap any particle, no matter how small, and at the same time replace the bag so that when emptying there is absolutely no danger of exposure to dust. If a few drops of suitable disinfectant were added to the water all airborne germs will be killcd too as one vacuum cleans. Further if a second filter of activated charcoal was introduced prior to washed air exit it will trap smoke and odour.
The machine will also blow dry (hot or cold) washed carpetslupholstery rather in the manner of a hair drier. Finally water is replaced effortlessly so that even the old and weak can carry it out
A detailed embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying diagrams in which:
Figure 1 Shows a front view ofthe basic machine.
Figure 2 Shows the necessary tools.
As shown in Fig.1 the motor A. has an inlet B. which is connected to the bottom of the water filter via a plastic tube and an outlet C. To outlet C. an activated charcoal filter can be fitted or removed at will.
The body has an out let D. at the bottom for emptying the water manually, in which case the motor does not have to work in two directions. All inlet B. and outlets C & D are the same size and the same flexible plastic trunk fits all of them.
E. is a small tap that allows clean water from the middle part into the washing water reservoir at the bottom.
F. is a small tap which supplies water to the wash head during washing via the plastic hose.
H. is an upside down perforated plastic funnel with a bent narrow end. Its function is to control water turbulence and only lets air out.
In Fig.2 Tool(i) is the flexible plastic trunk that fits inlet B and outlets C & D at one end and the rest of the tools at the other.
Tool (ii) is a rigid hollow plastic pipe that fits tool (i) at one end and the rest of the tools at the other end
Tool (iii) is the same as tool (ii) but also has an electric heater inside it.
Tool (iv) is an upholstery nozzle.
Tool (v) is a hard floorlcarpet head.
Tool (vi) is a wash head with inlet K
Tool (vii) is a narrow transparent plastic hose for washing, it connects with the wash head via inlet K. to the water reservoir via tap F.
Water with or without disinfectant is introduced to a suitable level G. by connecting tool (i) to inlet B. and switching motor to suction
To dry vacuum and produce pure/pure & sterilised air attach tools (ii) & (v), switch motor to suction and vacuum.
To wet clean/wash, introduce water and shampoo as before, open tap E to fill wash tank, then close it, attach thin plastic hose to tap F. and wash head and use with tools (i) ss (ii), open tap F., switch motor to suction and vacuum and wash simultaneously.
Dirty water can now be expelled to somewhere suitable by using tools (i) & (ii) at inlet B. and switching motor to reverse direction or simply attach tool (i) to outlet D.

To blow dry (hot or cold) the machine is emptied of water, tool (i) is fitted into outlet
C., tool (iii) is fitted to tool (i) and to either tools (iv) or (v), then motor is switched to suction. If switch on tool (iii) is on the air blown will be hot.
Claims (5)
1. A wet and dry vacuum cleaner which does not use bags or containers.
2. A vacuum cleaner as claimed in claim 1 that uses water both as a replacement for a bag and a filter.
3. A vacuum cleaner as claimed in claims 1 & 2 which produces 100% dust free and/or 100% germ free air.
4. A vacuum cleaner as claimed in claims 1,2 & 3 which can also eliminate smoke and odours.
5. A vacuum cleaner as claimed in all previous claims which can also blow dry (hot or cold) washed carpets/upholstery.
