Abstract

A foot care appliance comprises a raised curved plastic bowl lined with pumice supported by a metallic spring which is attached to a suction pad for placing on the bottom or side of a bath or washbasin.

Description

CXIRCPODIST SID This invention relates to a chiropodist aid for treating hard skin on the feet of obese and/or elderly people.
There are nany products available for dealing with this common problem ranging from medicated and emollient liquids, creams, gels, to other methods.
However, this invention would provide a simple and effective way of attending to this problem in obese and/or elderly people.
According to the present invention there is provided a device for using in baths and washbasins, consisting of aCruarìvseedd plastic bowl suspended on a plastic base by a metallic spring, the base furnished ith a rubber suction pad to attach to the bottom or side of the bath, or to the bottom or side of a plastic washing basin.
The bowl is lined with an abrasive substance- such as pumice stone to provide a gentle way of rubbing away hard skin.
A specific embodiment will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which : Figure 1 shows in perspective the aid in detail curved Figure 2 shows the raised bowl Figure 3 shows the metallic spring and attached base Figure 4 shows the rubber suction pad.

Claims (3)

1 A chiropodist aid comprising a raised curved plastic bowl lined with punice stone to provide a method of rubbing away hard skin on the feet.
2 A metallic spring to provide a means of flexible support for the curved plastic bowl.
3 A rubber suction pad holding the curved plastic bowl and metallic spring, to attach to the side or bottom of the bath or basin.
