Abstract
232,759. Vickers, Ltd., and Gray, P. W. April 1, 1924. Telescopes. - In sighting-devices of the kind comprising a gyroscopically stabilized prismatic element so that the image of the target is stationary in the field of view, the prismatic element A is made of a single solid piece of glass consisting of a triangular portion a and a roof-prism portion a<1> situated at right angles to the bisector plane through the apex angle of the triangular portion a. The prism is mounted in a casing carrying a bent telescope comprising an objective b' and an eyepiece b. The angle of the apex of the triangular portion is about 50‹. Specifications 6977/15 and 16669/15 are referred to.
