Abstract

The invention relates to a gland (1) for a container for flowable material, the gland (1) being hollow and receiving as a push-fit a device (8) which in one position is retracted into the gland (1) and in another filling and/or dispensing position protrudes from the gland, to assist flow of material through the gland. The device (8) is a hollow cylinder with a castellated end (9) which faces a wall (10) of the container.
