Abstract
A plant growing container comprises drainage holes formed in the side walls of the container at a distance above the base of the container. The side drainage holes replace conventional base drainage holes, thus water entering the pot forms a reservoir of wet mud below the position of the side drainage holes.
Description
THE DORPOT IS A WATER SAVING DESIGN WHICH SAVES
THE COST AND SPACE-TAKING OF WATER TRAYS AND IS
BENEFICIAL RE. WATERING RESTRICTIONS. WITH SIXTY
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE OF GROWING UNDER GLASS IS
ALSO TIME SAVING. THE BOTTOM 10% TO 15% OF
COMPOST BECOMES A RESAVOIR OF WET MUD BUT STILL
RETAINING THE DRAINAGE OF THE UPPER COMPOST.
OUTDOORS THE RAYS OF THE SUN WILL DRAW UP THE
RESERVE OF MOISTURE.

- DORPOT 1. THE DORPOT IS A WATER AND TIME SAVING CONTAINER FOR GROWING PLANTS.2. NOT HAVING DRAINAGE HOLES SET IN THE BOTTOM AS THESE ARE SET APPROX. 10% ABOVE THE BASE.THEREFOR ALLOWING A RESAVOIR OF WATER/MUD.3. THE USE OF WATER TRAYS IS NOT THEREFORE REQUIRED.4. IN HOT/DRY AREAS, THE. DRAINAGE HOLES COULD BE SET HIGHER THAN 15%.5. THE SIZE AND NUMBER OF DRAINAGE HOLES CAN BE VARIED ACCORDING TO ACTUAL SIZE OF THE GROWING CONTAINER.Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows CLAIMS DORPOT 1. THE DORPOT IS A WATER AND TIME SAVING CONTAINER FOR GROWING PLANTS.

- 5. THE SIZE AND NUMBER OF DRAINAGE HOLES CAN BE VARIED ACCORDING TO ACTUAL SIZE OF THE GROWING CONTAINER.
- 6. The Dorpot can be used by the same method(s) as all other plant pots/containers.
