Abstract
Purpose made covers (4) for use with ladders. When fitted in place, the covers (4) protect the surface upon which the ladder may be leaning. The covers may be sleeves fitted on the ladder stiles between adjacent rungs to protect a horizontal corner or fitted to the curved head of a step - ladder.
Description
LADDER WALL - PROTECTOR.
The invention relates to covers, purpose made to fit onto those parts of ladders which lean against surfaces.
Due to the design of ladders, friction and pressure damage (including marking) frequently occurs when they are leaned against interior decorative surfaces and exterior surfaces such as timber cladding, masomy paint and the finishing trim on the facia boards of single storey extensions.
The purpose made covers are designed to eliminate these problems.
The covers to be made of a suitable material designed to be fitted and removed with ease, fastened securely whilst in use (by means not shown).
The invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIG 1- Shows a ladder leaning against a wall fitted with its purpose made covers no 4. in place at the point of contact.
FIG 2 - Shows a ladder leaning against a single storey extension fitted with its purpose made covers no 4. in place at the point of contact.
FIG 3-Shows a folded stepladder leaning against a wall fitted with its purpose made cover no 4. in place at the point of contact.
Claims (3)
1 .Purpose made covers to fit onto those parts of ladders which lean against surfaces, to protect the surfaces from ladder damage as described with reference to Figures 1- 3 of the accompanying drawings.
2.Covers as in claim 1,
2.1. Covers made to fit onto the two upright sections of a ladder where it leans against a surface.
2.2. A cover made to fit onto the top of a folded stepladder at the point of contact when it is leaned against a wall in the closed position.
3.Each one of the covers to be secured independently.
