231,485. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Simmons, A. H.). March 25, 1924, [Convention date]. Waffle baking - apparatus. - A pivotal connection for waffle plates comprises lugs 10, 11 one of which, e.g. the lug 11, is bored to receive a bush 15 which is slotted at 16 to receive a pin 17 carried by the lug 10, the bush being spaced from the inner wall of the lug 11 to form a space 19 which receives the head 18 of the pin 17. The head 18 has two oppositely disposed flats to enable it to pass through the slot 16. The bush 15 is secured by a screw 20 which also secures a supporting-member 21, for the lug 10, to the lug 11, one end being bent up to embrace the lug 11 thereby preventing rotation about the screw 20. Projections 24, 25 engage against the edges of the plates when they are fully opened.
