Abstract

A window assembly comprises a movable frame 14 coupled by a hinge to a fixed frame 12 to allow the movable frame to be swung open and closed. A male engagement pin 46 projecting from the movable frame 14 engages in a socket 60 on the fixed frame 12 as the window is closed. The pin 46 has a tapered tip 48 which progressively engages a mouth surface of the socket 60, to draw the frames into sealing engagement when in the closed position, ad to prevent the frames from being levered open.
