Abstract

A Folding Pallet Support Frame 12 has two support frame assemblies 10 and 11 with a top cross brace centrally pivoted by 14 so that the Folding Pallet Support Frame can be closed together thus reducing its' overall size for storage and transportation or can be opened out and located between any two pallets, allowing them to be stacked in the form of a tower Preferably the frames have bottom fittings to mount them on pallet corners and top fittings to receive a further pallet for stacking on top.

Description

FOLDING PALLET Sl tPPORT FR4N'IE This invention relates to a folding pallet support frame.
Pallets are well known for the storage and or transpoltation of a variety of goods and therefore are available in a number of style and sizes most haing location points in each of the four corners both top and bottom which enables them to be stacked together at a predeterrnined height and size which does not alter whether the pallet is full or empty.
According to the present invention there is provided a folding pallet support frame comprising two supporting frame assemblies pivoted together centrally one upon the other which v-hen opened out locates on the top four corners of a pallet this enables a second pallet to be located above the first pallet.
The removal of the folding pallet support frame from between empty pallets reduces transportation and the storage area required.
A specific embodiment of the invention nill now be described bx way of example with reference to the accompaning drawings in which Figure 1. Shows in perspective the folding pallet support frame in position between trvo pallets.

Referring to the drawing the Folding Pallet Support Frame comprises two supporting frame assemblies 10 and 11 secured together b for example. a nut and bolt. secured pivot pin or similar means 14. forming the folding pallet support frame 12.
In order to locate the Folding Pallet Support Frame 12 onto a pallet 13 the t'vo Supporting Frame Assemblies 10 and 11 are snivelled open to the desired position on pallet 13 and are arrested for example b'. locating pins. brackets or similar means. A second pallet 13. is positioned in locating mounts on the top of the Folding Pallet Support Frame 12. providing a stackable storage system.

Claims (4)

1, A Folding Pallet Support Frame comprising two pivoted support assemblies enabling similar loaded pallets to be stacked. stored and transported. The removal and folding of the Folding Pallet Support Frame from between t'vo pallets reduces the storage area required.
2. A Folding Pallet Support Frame as claimed in claim 1. where in location means are provided on the base of the supporting frame. Co-operable with the pallets top location points.
3, A Folding Pallet Support Frame as claimed in claim 1 where in location means are provided on the top of the supporting frames co-operable with the pallets bottom location points.
4. A Folding Pallet Support Frame as claimed in claim 1 - 3 where in the Supporting Frames are provided with a means of pivoting about the centre one directs above the other.
