Abstract

230,627. Whittaker, W. March 8, 1924. Rollers.-A portion of the. periphery of a roller is recessed to receive a rubber sleeve B, which is sprung into position beneath the undercut or dovetailed sides of the recess. The sleeve may be secured by its own tension or by cement or other fixing means. In Fig. 2, the sleeve is shown vulcanized to a metal ring D, which is. secured in the recess by an end plate C.
