Abstract
230,153. Towler, C. O. Nov. 30, 1923. Fluid-actuated valves.-In a steam or other vapour generator built up of sections in which the pressure and temperature of the steam or vapour are increased by stages, the desired difference between the pressure in two sections is maintained by connecting the sections together through a valve operated by two diaphragms having different areas acted upon by the different steam pressures. The valve may be fitted on a wall I<1>, Fig. 5, between the two sections, the diaphragms b, c being acted upon directly by the pressures in the sections.
