Abstract

Apparatus for use in conjunction with a fork-lift to lift and manoeuvre boxes for storage; the apparatus comprising one or more box-lifting tines 15, attached to a side arm 13 adapted for attachment at one end thereof, to the existing carriage of the fork-lift in such a way that the (or each) tine of the apparatus projects initially in a direction generally at right-angles to the direction in which the carriage's own tines normally project, whilst being substantially parallel-planar with the plane normally occupied by the carriage tines. Means are provided to swivel the (or each) tine of the apparatus into and out of said generally right-angled direction so as to, respectively, support and release from support, a box carried by the fork-lift, and a clamp 22 may be provided to hold a box on the tines.
