Abstract

229,023. Pearson, E. Nov. 23, 1923. Addition to 202,765, [Class 136 (i), Velocipede &c. accessories]. Saddles. - Seats with parallelogram linkage and compression springs, as set out in the parent Specification, have the links 4, 5 fixed in pairs on a tube or sleeve 6 which is pivoted on a rod 7. The compression springs 9, between the inclined transverse bars 10 in the upper and lower frames, are detachably mounted on pins 11 projecting from these bars. Projections 12 may be formed on the links to engage the lower transverse bar and limit the upward movement of the seat. As shown, the construction is applied to a pillion seat, but it is also applicable to motor-vehicle seats in general, including motorcycle saddles.
