Magnetic instruments; receivers.-In order that a telephone receiver may be suitable for use. with either a high-impedance or a low-impedance thermionic valve as required, a switch is embodied in the receiver whereby the circuit connections of the coils can be altered. In one form of the invention, a switch of the blade-spring type can be set so as to connect two coils in series or in parallel at pleasure. In a modification, eight wiper switches are simultaneously operated so as to connect four magnet-coils in series, in parallel, or in series-parallel. Specification 15369/15 is referred to.
