Abstract
228,063. Booth, W. R. June 27, 1924. Optical toys.-In display apparatus in which two scenes appear superimposed, one being seen by direct vision through an inclined transparent sheet and the other by reflection therein, the Whole device is contained within a single chamber A and the scenes consist respectively of a transparent design T and a solid object S. The design T is picked out in an opaque background and is removably slid into place at the bottom of a reflecting shade B containing a flashing lamp L. The object S is illuminated by light entering by the viewing-opening E, supplemented if desired by a light within the chamber. The positions of transparency T and object S may be interchanged, or tht transparency placed at the bottom of the chamber. The chamber may be of cylindrical form, in which case the inclined sheet G would be elliptical in shape.
