Abstract
227,699. Keser, F. May 12, 1924. Disinfecting - chambers. - An apparatus for sterilizing sputum and its container comprises a steam generator 1 and a U-shaped steam pipe 14 carrying a slidably adjustable bell 16. Both the bell 16 and the end of the steam pipe 14 dip beneath the surface of the liquid L in the container 5, and the whole is covered by a bell 4. Steam passes from the pipe 14 through the liquid L and collects under the bell 16 until a predetermined pressure has been reached when it traverses the liquid for a second time. Valves 17, 18 and 19 are provided.
