Abstract

A load handling implement has at least one load engaging member 1, which may be a tine, fork or spike, which is retractable in order to release the load. The member is retracted or extended in a guide 4 by means of a hydraulic cylinder 11 acting via linkages 7 and 8. <IMAGE>

Description

PETRACTABLE TPED LOADER This invention/inovation relates to a retractable tined/s, spike/s, fork/s, etc materials handling system.

At present it is well known by materials handling operators the difficulties cf stacking materials at height with either a grab, forked, or spiked, materials handling system. this reuires great operator skill especially if the ground is very soft. Kanufacturers have also made puhoff designs, where the material bring handled doesn't easily remove cr unload itself. With that system the operator has reverse at the same speed as the pushoff system, if he gets it wrong he risks pushing or pulling the whole stack down. According to ms invention/inovation this problem is overcome.The tine,/s, fcrk/s, spike/s, etc can be retracted their full length thus depositing the material exactly where required without the need to shunt the tractor/ loader back and fouth to expel the load being stacked.

Fig, 1 shows the hydraulic ram/s 11 extended with lift tine/s 1, etc also extended.

Fig, 2, shows the hydraulic ram/s 11 retracted aid lift tine/s etc 1, retracted.

This unit is a simple attachment of one or more tine/s, fork/s, or spike/s etc, 1, fig 1 & 2. That can freely slide back and forth in a parallel mannor in their slide/s, guide/s, roller/s, bushes or bearings 2, fig 1 & 2 At the rear end of the tine/s fork/s, spike/s, etc is attached a roller/s, guide/s, slide/s, or bush/es, etc 3, figs.

1 & 2, these move to and fro in a runner/s rail/s, guide/s, channel/s etc, 4 figs 1 & 2. Also at the rear end of the tine/s, spike/s, fork/s, is a pivot joint 5 figs 1 & 2, to which a lever/s-frame 7 fig 9 & 2, is attached. This lever/s-frame 7 figs, 1 & 2, is also pivot jointed at a suitable point 9, fig 1 & 2, to which another lever/s 8 figs, 1 & 2, is pivot jionted at this point 9, figs, 1 & 2 and also at point 10.

A hydraulic ram/s 11 figs, 1 5 2, jointed also on main frame 13 figs, 1 & 2, and also at pivot point 14, figs, 1 & 2, on the lever/s-frame 7 figs, 1 & 2, so with the mechanism descibed, wher the hydraulic ram/s 11, figs, 1. is extended the tine/s, spike/s, fork/s, 1, fig. 1, are pushed out in a parallel manner due to the guide/s roller/s, slide/s , bush/es 4, fig 1.

When the hydrulic ram@s 11, fig 2, is retracted@due de the mechanism described the tine/s, spike/s, fork/s, etc 1, fig 2. are retracted in a likewise manner.

Claims

1. A materials handling attachment with retracting and protracting tine/s, fork/s spike/s, etc, for the handling and moving of goods and materials.

2. A materials handling attachment incorporating parallel retrating and protracting tine/s, fork/s, spike/s, etc, as described herein with referance to figs, 1 & 2.

3. A materials handling attachment in any way the same inc or porating retractable and protracting tine/s, fork/s, spike/s, etc by a similar or same mechanical/hydraulic arrangement as herein described.
