Abstract

226,439. Manton, G. W. June 26, 1923. Book-markers. - Relates to book-markers of the kind comprising a spring clip provided with one or more flexible ribbons or cords carrying place indicators. The clip shown in Fig. 1 consists of two spring blades a, b riveted together and provided with holes e through which the cord f is threaded' and can be adjusted, two indicators g being fixed on the cord. The clip shown in Fig. 4 consists of integral spring blades a, b connected by a curved spring portion i enclosing a split bush for fixing the cord f, two indicators g being adjustable along the cord. The indicators g are preferably distinctively coloured, and are provided with a pointer g<1> and two holes for threading on the cord; the indicators may be fixed in position by knotting the ends of the cord, which in the arrangement shown in Fig. 1 is in three pieces f, f<1>, f<2>.
