Abstract

A lock bolt 20 operated by a ram 21 activated by a push button engages in a hole 22 in the safety access door 15 of a gas transfer cabinet Sat the rear of the vehicle. An automatically operated safety micro switch 40 has a spring loaded arm which is movable from an inactive position when the door 15 is closed to an active position when the door 15 is opened. When the switch 40 is activated the vehicle brakes are automatically engaged so that the vehicle cannot move during gas transfer. An emergency shut down system including local push button activating switches is primed on opening of a gas transfer control valve 1() for overriding the control system and shutting down transfer in the event of an emergency. <IMAGE>
