Abstract

A cigarette holder comprises a cylindrical moulding (10) having a concentric smooth parallel bore, groove(s) (17) or hole(s) (19) running the length of the bore and stops (16) at one end of the bore to prevent a cigarette from passing through the cylinder. <IMAGE>

Description

[ PAEL A CIGARETTE CYLINDER This invention relates to a cigarette cylinder.
Cigarette holders are well known finger held devices more renown for elegance and stature in the world of aristocracy. A cigarette holder enables a person to smoke a cigarette held within the cigarette holder at a length from ones face. There are many types of cigarette holders, from short stem, to long albatross stems. Cigarette holders were mainly made of amber, wood, porcelain, even glass. Cigarette holders are still used to this day although modern technology has brought about a change in the material tey are now ac of.
Cigarette holders are, however, relatively expensive for the purpose they serve, to hold a cigarette for the use of smoking, without provisions towards a healthier environment, the cigarette holder remains just a holder.
According to the present invention there is provided a cigarette cylinder. A one piece cylindrical moulding with a concentric sooth parallel bore end to end of the cylinder. A groove or hooves, a ole or holes, that run end to end within the bore wall. A means of stops to prevent a cigarette fron passing though the cylinder once inserted. The outer surface of the cylinder is lightly knurled.
A specific embossiment of the invention will no be described by way of exarni.e with reference to the accompanying drawing which: Figure 1 shows in persnective, a vie of each end of a cigarette cylinder without a cigarette Dlaced within.
Figure 2 illustrates a section of a cvlinder with a cigarette placed within.
'Rigure 3 shows a variation of cigarette cylinders with grooves or holes.
PANEL B Referring to the drawing the one piece cylindrical moulding 10 has a concentric smooth parallel bore, running end to end of the cylinder. Incorporated within the inner bore wall 14 of the cylinder is a narrow groove 15 or narrow grooves 17, or a ole 18 or holes 1 running end to end with the bore. Stops 16 at one end of the cylinder only. The outer surface of the cylinder lightly knurled (not shown).
In order to make full use of the cylinder 10 as shown in Fig 1.
A filtered cigarette 12 must he placed inside the cylinder as shown in Fig 2. Stops 16 preventing the cigarette from passing through the cylinder as shown in Fig 2. Tlae surface of the groove 15 as shown in Fig 2.

    CLAIMS 1 A cigarette cylinder, a one piece cylindrical rnouldin with a concentric smooth parallel hore end to end of the cylinder. A groove or grooves, a hole or holes, that run end to end within the bore wall. A means of stops to prevent a cigarette from passing, through the cylinder once inserted. the outer surface of the cylinder is lightly knurled.
  2. 2 A cigarette cylinder substantially as described herein with reference to Figures 1-3 of the accompanying drawing.
