225,461. Bartlett, H. A. May 9, 1924. Addition to 224,443. Composite shoes; renewable calks.-The rubber &c. cushioning means described in the parent Specification are formed as sheaths 14 which are slipped over the reduced limbs of the metal frame 11. Calks 17 having slots 18 and openings 19, through which nails are passed into the hoof are secured in undercut slots in the sheaths. The calks may have positioning lugs 20. The sheaths may stop short of the heel rods of the frame to provide spaces for metal tips.
