Abstract

A TV wall structure has a plurality of magnifying glasses (3) respectively set in front of and in focus with a plurality of corresponding TV screens (2) to magnify the images shown on the TV screens so as to remove the network of gaps which would otherwise exist therebetween. <IMAGE>

Description

Improved TV Wall structure SPECIFICATION The present invention is related to an improved TV Wall structure and more particular to a TV Wall which is equipped with a magnifying glass in front of each TV screen to magnify the image of the associated TV screens so as to eliminate the netted gap among the TV screens.
Following the fast development of advanced technology and the improvement of living standard. Hi-Fi big screer. TV with more scanning lines has become one of the best seller in domestic electric appliances. The size of a TV screen has been extended froL U" through 2e" 37", 40" to the recent 120" or even bigger one. However, owing to the complexity in manufacturing process, high manufacturing cost and heavy size, regular television sets of size over 40" are normally of projection type. In projection type TV sets, the forward projection of a projection kinescope can not provide a stable illumination and requires large space.
Therefore, the projection type TV sets are normally installed indoors without illumination.
In commercial, however, advertisers put much emphasis on dynamic big screen advertising media. Therefore, TV Wall is created according to the demand. The so-called TV Wall is to divide a video signal into 4x4 or 16x16 pictures for display on 4X4 or 15x16 TV screens which are installed on a wall and combined into a big screen assembly. The TV Wall provided same effect as a big screen TV without the use of super large CRT, in which an image can be freely controlled and divided into lxi, 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 or 16x16.
Therefore, TV Wall has now become one of the favorite advertising media to the advertisers, and has been commonly used in exhibition centers, fast food restaurants and department stores, etc. for advertising purpose. However, a shortcoming exists in regular TV Wall, that is a netted gap is formed on the TV screens to interfere with the image integrity.
The main object of the present invention is to provide an improved TV Wall structure to eliminate the netted gap existing on TV screens so as to secure an integral image display.
According to the present invention, a TV Wall structure includes a plurality of magnifying glasses respectively 'set in front and focus of a plurality of TV screens to respectively magnify the inages of the TV screens so as to eliminate the netted gaps among the TV screens, wherein the magnifying glasses are arranged in number and size in accordance with the TV screens.
The above and other objects, features and advantages of the present invention may be fully understood through the following detailed description with reference C the annexes drawings wherein: Fig.l illustrates an image display of a TV Wall according to the prior art; Fig.2 is a side elevation of a TV Wall constructed according to the present invention; Fig.3 is a perspective structural view of a TV Wall embodying the present invention; and Fig.4 illustrates an image display of a TV Wall according to the present invention.
Please refer to Fig. I which illustrates an image display of a TV Wall according to the prior art, wherein the screen is composed of 4X4 TV screens, and a netted gap is existed on the TV screens to interfere with the image integrity.
Please refer to Figs. 2 and 5 which illustrate the best mode of the present invention, wherein magnifying glasse (3) are respectively set in front of the TV screens (2) of the TV Wall (1) to respectively magnify the pictures (a) of the TV screens (2) into the pictures (b), that is, a magnifying glass (30) is set in front of a TV screen (20) of the TV Wall (1) to magnify the picture (al) of the TV screen (20) into a picture (by), another magnifying glass (31) is set in front of another TV screen (21) of the TV Wall (1) to magnify the picture (a2) of the TV screen (21) into a picture (bZ), and so forth. Because the magnifying glasses are properly set in focus of the TV screens respectively.
there is only very thin lines left among the magnifying glasses (3) (31), (32), (33) etc., and the scene of the netted gap among the TV screens as shown in conventional TV wall is eliminated. With reference to Fig. 4, an image is clearly displayed on the TV Wall constructed according to the present invention. According to the present invention, the netted gap among TV screens can be eliminated and the image can also be enlarged.
In conclusion, the present invention is to provide suc an improved TV Wall structure having numerous features each of which tends to make the structure more practical to enlarge the image and eliminate the netted gap among the TV screens and to improve the quality of the image.
