Abstract

An anti-sweat girth is made of tubular webbing with a hydrophilic membrane insertion. <IMAGE>

Description

ANTI-SWEAT GIRTH This invention is an anti-sweat girth.
Girths are used to hold saddles in place on horses. They pass beneath the horses belly behind the elbows and are buckled to the girth straps on each side of the saddle.
In hard work horses can sweat a great deal and this ray cause galling and discomfort to the horse and lead to loss of use.
Sweat can also rot materials and if a careful check is not Made the rider could be endangered.
The Anti-Sl-eat Girth has an insert of a hydrophilic membrane.
It takes perspiration vapour away from the skin which condenses into droplets when in contact with cooler air which cannot return through the membrane.
The girth is made of tubular webbing, has an insert of hy ro- philic membrane, is washable and is made in various sizes and styles according to the needs of the rider.

CLAINS
1 An anti-sweat girth made of tubular webbing with a hydrophilic membrane insertion facilitating sweat dispersion.
2 An anti-sweat girth made of tubular webbing with a hydrophilic membrane insertion with reference to figure 4 of the accompanying illustration. Figures 1 - 3 show different versions of girths. Figure 4 shows a cross-sectional view; the outer layer is tubular webbing which surrounds the inner layer which is the hydrophilic membrane.
Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows 1 An anti-sweat girth nace of tubular webbing with a hydrophilic/hydrophobic membrane insertion facilitatin sweat dispersion.
2 An anti-sweat girth made of tubular webbing with a hydrophilic/hydrochobic membrane as described with reference to figure 1 and encouraging the passage of moisture (1) fro te horse through the fabrics of the girth and to evaporate on contact with the air.
3 An anti-sweat girth made of tubular webbing with a hydrophilic/hydrophobic membrane insertion as describe- with reference to figure 1 and preventing the passage of moisture fron the outer side of the girth i2) bac.z through the membrane.
