Abstract

The table which has no pockets or recesses has a rubber cushion 4 glued to a ring 3 of wood, metal or plastic which in turn is bolted to the base 1 and holds the baize covering the base in position, the baize being tacked to the underside of the base 1. The base 1 has strengthening cross members (2, Figure 3) glued to the underside. <IMAGE>

Description

CIRCULAR BILLIARD TYPE TABLE The.invention relates to a circular table for playing billiard type games on.
There are many shapes and types of tables produced for playing billiards and snooker games Most of these tables gave pockets incorporated in them in order to play games where billiard balls are potted into them to score points.
This new table has no pockets and is completely circular in configuration.
Therefore it demands new types of games to be played on it.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure (1) shows a perspective view.
Figure (2) shows a plan view from above.
Figure t3) shows a plan view from below.
Figure (4) shows a cross-section.
Figure (5) shows a blown-up view of part of cross-section.
Referring to the drawing in Figure (z; the table has a base(1) which has a baize (billiard cloth) stretched on to it and tacked on the under side (see Figure ,8.
The under side has two strengthening members(2) glued to the base in a cross fashion. These cross members also keep the base flat.
On to the base is bolted a ring of wood, plastic or metal(3) which has a rubber strip(4) glued to it. This forms a rubber cushion inside the ring. The ring also prevents the baize (billiard cloth) from moving when it is bolted in position with eight slender bolts.
Note: the bolts go through the baize material.

Claims (1)

  1. CLAZIS
    No. 1 This table is circular in configuration.
    No. 2 The table has no pockets or recesses in it.
    No. 3 On this table the cushion follows the entire shape of the table to form a continuous circular rubber cushion.
    Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows No. 1.
    A circular billiard table without any pocket or hole covered with one piece oD material stretched without blemish to cover the entire surface, with a fixed outer ring lined with a unbroken rubber cushion.
