Abstract
A dual computer system constituted of duplicated processor units (PC1, PC2) and a dual control unit (DXC) for controlling which side of the two processor units to keep operating (as a main system) or on standby (as subsidiary system). One processor acts in an actually operating state with the other on standby as a guard against a failure in the main system. The dual control unit controls which processor unit is to act for the main system through the medium of two internal independent interruption means (12L, 12R) for effecting switching of the main system and the subsidiary system selectively to the two processor units as a result of an interruption in one system. Such construction improves the continuity of the control at the time of switching. <IMAGE>
