Abstract

Lubricant conveyed by fluid.-In apparatus for permeating steam or other aÙiform fluid with liquid lubricant comprising a central lubricant nozzle c surrounded by a conical or like shield d whereof the larger end is presented to the flow of the energizing fluid, which escapes from the smaller end around the lubricant outlet, a conical or like dispersing shield f is fitted, the smaller end of which adjoins that of the shield. Lateral passages c<2> are formed in the nozzle for the escape of a portion of the lubricant to the passages e between the nozzle and the shield d, and orifices d<1> are formed in the shield d opposite the passages c<2>. Orifices f<1> are formed on the shield f. The device is applicable to steam and internal-combustion engines, air compressor and exhausters, and the like. Specification 208,412 is referred to.
