Abstract

221,325. Hodgson, I. A. April 29, 1924. Frictionally seated lids.-Relates to tins or boxes for paste &c. having tightly fitting flanged lids. The lid has a projecting bead f of U-section at the upper edge, and the body has a circumferential bead b of similar shape. Between the two beads a suitably shaped tool or key can be introduced to lever off the lid. Opening by levering may also be effected by means of a key or coin inserted in the recess g, or the lid may be loosened by striking the bead f with the edge of a brush or the like.
