Abstract
221,288. Pollard & Co., Ltd., E., and Pollard, E. June 11, 1923. Dust excluders for the sliding doors of showcases &c. consist of a strip of brush 'binding firmly secured to a backing strip or strips of wood or of glass, the latter being cemented either directly or with an interposed thin strip of veneer to the glass surface of the door. A wood backing may comprise two bars B, C, as shown in Fig. 1, or three strips H, H<1>, H<2>, of wooden veneer, as shown in Fig. 2, two contiguous strips F, G of brush binding being employed in the latter case. In both forms, the backing is cemented to a strip D of veneer cemented to the glass and lapped around the edge of the door. A glass backing, shown in Fig. 4, is provided with a slot I<1> to receive the rear edge of the brush binding strip J, the slot being previously coloured to obscure the join between the strip and the glass.
