Cleaning and peeling fruit and vegetables. -In a machine for cleaning and scraping potatoes and the like, of the kind in which a vertical spindle c, covered with roughened or perforated metal hand carrying a disc f of similar material, is rotatable by a. handle i within a receptacle a, the upper bearing for the spindle c is dispensed with and the lower bearing e is of conical form so that a wobbling motion is produced on rotating the spindle.
